Learning from Learning

All courses undertaken within the Institute are part of a common learning impact evaluation framework designed in collaboration with the World Bank’s Development Impact (DIME) department. This framework ensures that our training offerings are continuously assessed for their effectiveness and impact on learning outcomes, enabling us to deliver the highest quality education that drives measurable improvements in knowledge and skills.

Our evaluation framework

Our approach to evaluation rests in 3 core pillars:
  • Pre- and post-assessment framework to evaluate immediate learning outcomes.
  • Follow up with selected trainees to assess longer term impacts with emphasis at use and productivity increases
  • Case studies to measure the causal impact of learning, allowing us to pinpoint the direct effects of our training on participants' performance and productivity.

Trainer feedback loops

  • Providing trainers with comprehensive reports on course performance, highlighting areas of strength and opportunities for improvement based on trainee feedback and assessment results.
  • Conducting regular debrief sessions with trainers to discuss feedback, share insights, and collaboratively develop strategies for course enhancement and tailoring to meet trainee needs.
  • Offering workshops and training programs for trainers focused on the latest educational methodologies, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement and excellence in course delivery.
